This Privacy Policy explains how DrawBattle ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use DrawBattle (the "App"). We are based in Israel and the App is used by players worldwide. For data-protection purposes, DrawBattle is the controller of your personal data, and you can reach us at any time at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com.
By using the App you agree to this Policy.
• Account information: your display name, your email address, and the sign-in provider you use (email, Google, or Apple).
• Age information: at sign-up you must confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that, if you are under 18, you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App. We do not ask for a date of birth and we do not store one, nor an exact age — we record only that the confirmation was given. The App is not available to children under 13.
• Consent records: when you accept these terms, we record when and how you accepted (including the document version and app language), so we can evidence consent.
• Gameplay content: the drawings you create, match results, words drawn, reports you submit, and similar in-game activity.
• Progress & economy: stats, wins/losses, coins, XP, and customization choices.
• Friends & social activity: your friend list, friend requests you send or receive, players you have blocked, and the game invites you send or receive. We also record a recent-activity timestamp so your friends can see whether you are currently online or in a game.
• Device & usage data: app version, device type, language, IP address, and basic diagnostics needed to run, secure, and improve the App.
• Push notification data: if you allow notifications, a device push token (an identifier used to deliver a notification to your specific device) and your app language, so we can send it to you in the right language. You can turn each type of notification on or off individually in the App's Settings.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and you should not include personal details in your drawings.
The App shows ads served through Google AdMob in two places: (1) optional rewarded video ads (for example, "watch an ad to double your coins"), which only appear when you choose to tap for a bonus and are never required to play the game; and (2) a small banner ad shown only during the few seconds the App is already waiting on something automatic — for example while our AI is judging a round or scoring your Daily Challenge drawing. The banner does not add any extra wait: it only occupies time the App is already spending on that automatic step.
Our ads are contextual and non-personalized: we do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not use your activity in this App to target ads to you elsewhere. On iOS we do not request tracking permission (ATT) and we do not read your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad targeting. AdMob's ad-serving may still use limited technical signals (such as general, coarse location inferred from IP address, device type, and language) to serve a relevant, non-personalized ad and to prevent fraud; see AdMob's own policies for details. Where the law requires it (in particular for players in the EEA and UK), a consent screen from Google's User Messaging Platform may appear before ads are shown.
We think it is as important to tell you what we still don't do:
• No personalized/behavioural ad profiles, and no cross-app tracking of you for advertising.
• No selling or sharing. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in US state privacy laws.
• No precise location. We do not collect GPS or precise location data (AdMob's coarse, IP-based location signal, described above, is the only location-adjacent data involved).
• No contacts, photos, or microphone. We do not access your contact list, photo library, or microphone.
• No third-party analytics SDKs beyond the ad SDK described above.
We use information to: create and manage your account; run matches and decide results (including automated AI judging); show your drawings to your opponent; run the friends feature (finding a player by display name, sending and answering friend requests, showing your friends whether you are online, and delivering game invites); send push notifications you have opted into (a friend request, a game invite, or a reminder about the Daily Challenge); maintain leaderboards, stats, and rewards; moderate content and handle reports; keep the App secure, fair, and free of cheating and abuse; respond to your support requests; and fix problems and improve the App.
To score matches, the drawings you submit are sent to a third-party artificial-intelligence service (Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service) that evaluates them and returns a result and reasoning. Drawings are sent only for the purpose of judging and operating the game, and we limit what is shared to what the service needs to judge a round. Under the provider's terms, content sent to this service is not used to train its AI models.
This means some decisions in the App are made automatically, without a human involved — in particular the outcome of a match and, in some cases, automated moderation of content. Match outcomes are part of gameplay and are final for gameplay purposes, but they have no legal or similarly significant effect on you.
If an automated decision does affect your account — for example a suspension or removal of your content — you have the right to ask us to look at it again with a human, to express your point of view, and to contest the decision. Write to us at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com and a person will review it.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information based on: performance of our contract with you (to create your account, run matches, and provide the App); our legitimate interests (to keep the App secure and fair, prevent cheating and abuse, moderate content, and improve the App); your consent (where we ask for it); and compliance with legal obligations.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object — see "Your rights & choices" below.
Other players. DrawBattle is a multiplayer game, so some of your information is visible to other people by design: your display name, your drawings, and your match results are shown to the opponent you are matched with, and your display name together with your stats may appear on leaderboards. Please treat anything you draw or type as public, and never include personal details in a drawing.
Friends. The App has a friends feature. Any player who knows your exact display name can send you a friend request, so choose a display name you are comfortable being found by. Once you accept a friend request, that friend can see your display name, your level, the character you have equipped, and whether you are currently online or in a game, and can invite you to play. You can remove a friend at any time, and you can block a player — blocking works in both directions: neither of you can send the other a friend request or a game invite, neither of you appears in the other's friends list, and you will not be matched against each other. Blocking does not remove your name from the public leaderboards.
Our service providers. We share information with the vendors that run the App on our behalf — our hosting, database, and authentication provider (Google Firebase), our AI judging provider (Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service), our advertising provider (Google AdMob, for the optional rewarded ads described in "Advertising" above), and, if you allow notifications, our push notification delivery provider (Expo, which relays a notification to your device's push token via Apple or Google) — under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing the service to us.
App stores and platform providers. For sign-in and, if we ever offer them, purchases.
Authorities and others. Where required by law, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our players, or others — for example when investigating fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with AdMob or anyone else for personalized or cross-context behavioural advertising.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You can delete your account at any time from the App's Settings ("Delete Account"), which permanently erases your profile, progress, match history, and drawings, or you can ask us to delete it for you (see "Your rights & choices"). After deletion we may keep a minimal record that does not identify you, and we may retain limited information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to resolve a dispute, enforce our Terms, or prevent a banned player from simply signing up again.
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. At sign-up every user must tick a separate box confirming they are at least 13 and that, if under 18, they have a parent or guardian's permission; we do not allow accounts for users under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it and close the account.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
For all users we apply data minimisation: we never ask for or store a date of birth or an exact age — only your confirmation that you are 13 or older. The App's rewarded video ads are contextual and non-personalized for every player, not just minors (see "Advertising" above) — we do not build advertising profiles of any player, and we do not sell players' data.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it; correct it if it is wrong; delete it; export it in a portable format; object to or restrict how we use it; and withdraw any consent you gave us (which does not affect what we did before you withdrew it).
The quickest way to delete everything is the App itself: Settings → Delete Account. For anything else, write to us at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com. We will respond within the time applicable law allows. To protect your account, we may first need to verify that the request really comes from you — for example by asking you to write from the email address on the account.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland and you think we have handled your data badly, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address it first.
If you live in California, or in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Texas), you have the rights described above — to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising them.
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information listed in "Information we collect" (identifiers such as a display name, email address, IP address, and account ID; internet and device activity; and the content you create in the game), for the purposes listed in "How we use your information".
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit it. Because we do not sell or share data, there is no opt-out to offer — but you may still exercise any of the other rights by contacting us at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com. You may use an authorised agent, and we may ask for proof that the agent acts for you.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access rules on our database and encrypted connections between the App and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
We operate globally and use service providers that may process your information in countries other than your own, including outside the EU/EEA and outside Israel. Different countries have different data-protection laws; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or transfers to countries recognised as providing adequate protection) for these transfers.
The App relies on third-party services: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, hosting, and serverless functions), Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service (AI judging), Google AdMob (rewarded-video and wait-screen banner ads, see "Advertising" above), Expo (push notification delivery, if you allow notifications), and the app store you install from (sign-in and, if offered, purchases). These providers process data on our behalf or under their own policies as applicable, and their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not integrate any analytics SDK.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, we will notify you in the App and, where the law requires it, ask you to accept the new version before you continue playing.
For privacy questions or requests — including access, correction, deletion, or a complaint — contact us at drawbattlesupport@gmail.com. We are the controller of your personal data.
